Birds Within Happy Spring
"Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple
understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the
world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that
the world is meant to be celebrated."
~Terry Tempest Williams from When Women Were Birds

Taking a day off and celebrating the first day of spring.
love the quote and the hidden place for the birds, happy spring to you
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, Linda.
ReplyDeleteFinally - happy spring! Your concept for the hidden birds is wondrous - so spring-like. Reminds me of all the green shoots emerging in my perennial garden - from their own hidden winter spot. Inner nature at it's best. Looking forward to seeing this piece emerge.
ReplyDeleteThat Terry Tempest Williams' quote is one of my favorites.
All the native plants are coming up, too. Even though we are in severe drought. Lupines, poppies, some of the Pacific Coast Irises are even beginning to bloom. Not as many blooms as in the past, but still they are a welcome sight. It makes my heart flutter as if many birds reside inside me :) Happy Spring, Judy.
