The Immensity of Single Day
"A merging of two people is an impossibility, and where it seems to
exist, it is a hemming-in, a mutual consent that robs one party or both
parties of their fullest freedom and development. But once the
realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite
distances exist, a marvelous living side-by-side can grow up for them,
if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the
possibility of always seeing each other as a whole and before an
immense sky.”

Happy Anniversary! What a great quote for two people standing together for - is that 44 years? Woot!

DeleteI tried to say woot 44 times wow that's a lot of wooting. We are also a day apart in age, too. Two Pisceans. I won't try wooting our age, though. I think I would fall asleep or get distracted halfway through by bright and shiny things☺
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to you both!
ReplyDeleteThat quote is simply amazing. It touched my heart, as every word is so true.
In marriage, partnership, it's so important to respect each others development and freedom. We are all unique individuals, and need to be able to continue on our developmental paths. It can be done.
Thank you for posting it, I will keep that quote close...
And, you are as beautiful as I imagined, Charlene. Your words and your art told me that :)
xx
You make me blush...thank you for the kind words...rarely am I caught in a photo. Here I am balancing on a large driftwood log and I took off my jacket to feel the cold ocean wind. For a moment the wind blew away my gray hair and a few winkles (and wrinkles.) The photographer snuck up on me. Isn't that a wonder when one's mate can capture the essential you?
