These are gorgeous, Charlene. I love the woodsy, lino-cut, look to those in the fifth picture. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Please post a picture of your latest lovely vessels when you can :)
Thank you, Vicki. In my first life as an artist, I was a print-maker, worked as a studio assistant and mainly did intaglio. Some woodblock. Sgraffito gives the look on clay with so much less effort!
That is a lot of cups -- a lot of fabulous cups! I agree - love the printmaking design! Where are these cups headed? And your spoons - wow! You've been busy! I also would like to see these after their trip t through the kiln.
Throwing more cups in earthenware now...most are going to various galleries having holiday shows. A dozen are headed to a collector. Two dozen for an installation early next spring. I made extra for gifting and testing and just in case a few are beyond perfectly imperfect for back-ups.
wow, you have been busy, cups and spoons, hope you post after firing.
ReplyDeleteI will try! I am testing some glazes right now.
